Stuck!

My daughter took this picture while going on vacation. (She's 3)

Today I am stuck. At home. My husbands truck has a dead battery. I have the day off so he took my car. And I am stuck at home.

I know, I know. You're thinking why do you need two cars anyway? Well, here's why. I live in a small Midwestern town. There is no bus system, there is no taxi's, there is no bike path's, there are no sidewalks. If you want to walk or bike somewhere you compete for the road with the vehicles. And they are certainly NOT going to make room for you on their road. It's a safety concern.

Really it's not bad, I just keep thinking of things I want to do. But I need supplies to do them. I want to can some applesauce but I need a jar lifter. I want to put a new cover on my household notebook but I need to get new scrapbook paper. I want to finish my apron but I need more biased tape.

Oh, well. I 'll just have to think of something else to do.
Like laundry. I really need to do some laundry.

Jenn,
It sounds like you do so much too! I grew up watching my grandmothers and my Mom can veggies and fruit and make applesauce and all of that. I would help out, but never did it on my own and now I wish I knew how. Being a Mom is a full time plus job. I am amazed at my friends who are moms and manage to raise great kids AND do anything else at all. It would overwhelm me I think.
Are you going to post pictures of your apron when you are done? I would love to see it. I am not good at sewing (even though I was in 4H years ago). I do have making aprons and potholders on my list to make for Christmas presents. Hope you have a lovely Sunday! -tonia

Thanks Tonia! Yes, I will post pictures provided I ever get the apron done. I'm currently having the problem of to many projects going at once.
