A Quik Trip

We went on a quick trip to see my brother in Kansas City. We love Kansas City. It is one of the few cities I have been to that I would move too in a heartbeat. It has a small town feel but also has everything you could want to do. It's nothing like you would think.

Anyway, we had a good visit. I went to a quilt store in Leavenworth called Quilters Corner. We also stepped into a a bead store that was lovely. One of those places that you think "This is just what I would want my own store to be like". We also went to a Half Price Bookstore. I first went to one in Dallas. They have used and new books most of which are half price or less. I picked up a couple of craft books for cheap. Yea me!

My brother and sister-in-law also just got back from London. They brought me back an English tea pot. Royal Albert Lady Carlyle pattern. It's gorgeous. Princess got a Beafeater doll. She's thrilled. They also told us lots of funny stories about the city.

It was a good visit and we are already planning on going back for a longer one.

PS: This post is called Quik Trip cause you have to stop at one and get an ice tea on your way there.
