Book Review- The American Frugal Housewife

The American Frugal Housewife by Mrs. Child circa 1832. Rented from the library system.

Most of this book is worthless. In fact, I confess I didn't read it all. Most of it is cooking and household tips. But these tips are for 200 years ago. Unless you need to know how to get the most use out of a sheep's head. Then this book is for you.

But I did find some gems. The sound advice of keeping out of debt. The General Maxims for Health and her principals on hard work.

Definitely NOT a buy. If you like old household management books like I do it's worth a look from the library.
